Art For Lunch

CerealArt.com is a website showing a group of contemporary artists creating artworks out of cereal. The artists are interested in discovering the possibilities presented by consumer culture and its products.

Hank Willis Thomas and Ryan Alexiev have created a portrait of President Barack Obama created with sugary cereals such as Honeycomb, Life and Froot Loops.

However, “consumer culture” isn’t restricted to cereal despite the name of the website and project. They also address consumerism crossing borders with familiar products found in local supermarkets.
