Chefs Do-Gooders Create Gingerbread Art
Utah Chef Raymond Lammer is creating decadent gingerbread houses - and I’m not talking about the taste (although I’m sure they’re delicious too). The chef - turned Holiday-themed food artist recently completed a 9 foot long, 4 foot wide, 5 foot tall ”Thomas the Tank Engine” gingerbread display. He used 250 pounds of gingerbread, 80 pounds of icing and lots of food coloring.
Several other Utah chefs have followed Lammer’s lead, creating gingerbread houses and donating them to the Gingerbread Village at the Grand American Hotel. The houses will be part of a silent auction to benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
